I like to describe the style of yoga that I teach as 'yoga from the ground up' and aim to make the sessions down to earth, fun, and accessible. I am a British Wheel of Yoga Accredited Teacher. I am also accredited by the Mandala Yoga Ashram, where I completed my 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate in July 2014.
I am committed to ongoing learning and continue to train with teachers that I value and trust. I have a record of my CPD for those who may require it.
My regular practice includes Asana, Pranayama and Meditation and I teach what I practice. My Asana Practice is influenced by teachers such as Peter Blackaby, John Stirk and Leslie Kaminoff. My meditation practice is influenced by Mandala Yoga Ashram and Irest.
Working in music, my priority is to hold a space in which participants can fully engage in a musical experience, whether this is for educational or therapeutic purposes. I can offer percussion or voice based sessions or a combination of the two. Drum sessions involve composition, improvisation and when appropriate, the studying of specific rhythms. I have worked in Learning Day Centres, Schools, Mental Heath Units, Dementia Day care, Oncology Wards, Yoga Teacher Training and for the general public.
